"F*ck Your Manners is a mixed media installation presented at A/D/O that explores the cultural differences in manners and etiquette. Through a combination of inflatable sculptures, illustrative prints, and video, the exhibition seeks to challenge and interrogate the ways in which cultural norms and expectations can shape our behaviors and attitudes. The artworks in this exhibition were inspired by the question of why slurping noodles is considered impolite in some cultures, yet a compliment in others.

As a therapeutic response to internalized western-centeredness, and a celebration of cultural diversity, F*ck Your Manners invites viewers to reflect on the ways in which cultural norms and expectations can impact our daily lives, and to consider the value of embracing and celebrating differences in manners and etiquette.
